Tips and Tricks for Getting the Most Out of Epcot Food and Wine Festival

Food

Obviously one of the best parts of the Food and Wine Festival is the food! So how can you make sure you get to taste all the things you really want to try?

Dining Plan: If you’ve never gotten one of the dining plans, Food and Wine is the perfect time to try it out! No matter which plan you get, you’ll get two snack credits per day and those can be redeemed at any food kiosk throughout the park! You can also pick three snacks at the same kiosk and redeem a quick service credit for that.

Food and Wine gift cards: At the entrance of Epcot, and at pretty much any store around the park, you’ll find small gift cards on bungee bracelets. You can load as much money as you want. Just wear it on your wrist and then a cast member will easily scan it for you at any kiosk you stop at! When you get your receipt, your remaining balance will be at the bottom. Reload it as much or as little as you want!

Plan ahead: The menus and maps for the festival are released ahead of time so you can get an idea of what you want to try. Some things stay pretty much the same year to year, but lots of things change. So make sure you take a look and get an idea of what looks like a “can’t miss” item for you.

Entertainment

There’s more than just food at the Food and Wine Festival! There are lots of entertainment options to keep the fun going all day long!

Eat to the Beat: In the American Gardens Theater in World Showcase, Disney brings some amazing musicians to play shows all throughout the festival. One favorite who returns just about every year is Hanson! Be sure to check the schedule to see who will be there during your trip!

Culinary Demonstrations: A fun way to enjoy the food is to attend a culinary demonstration. Here, for just $19 per person, you can see a professional chef prepare some of their favorite foods in front of you and then try it out! Be sure to have your travel specialist book these in advance so you don’t miss the things you really want to do!

Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!: Attend one of these fun mixology sessions and learn how to make and taste new adult beverages! These happen on select Mondays and Thursdays at noon for $45 per person. Make sure to have your travel specialist book these in advance too!

Extras!

Besides the food and entertainment, there is always a Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend too! During this weekend, there is a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon race plus a party at Food and Wine Festival afterward! If you’ve ever had a RunDisney event on your bucket list, this is one is not to be missed!
