Dressing for Disney

You know what they say, dress for the job you want... I think planning your outfit accordingly for a day at a Disney park is essential. Of course good / comfortable shoes are a must, I try to at least match the theme of the park or if there is a festival going on or even match the vibe of a specific resort. And don't forget all the amazing walls around the resort that are Instagram worthy. So here are some of my favorite looks through the years.

The Polynesian resort, my personal favorite. Whether you are staying at this tropical resort or just visiting for a cocktail or meal, the vibe is nothing short of paradise. I love all the flowers, Tikis, and the Hibiscus passion smell as you enter the lobby. So when we visited for cocktail hour at Trader Sam's, we were excited when we were presented with Leis to wear! It was a perfect addition to our outfits.

Magic Kingdom is classic and beautiful. Cinderella castle is the most photographed icon in the world and you know you are going to take a picture with it. It shines with hues of blue and white. I loved this blue romper I got because it worked well with my Cinderella TOMS shoes. It NEVER gets old seeing this beauty!!

UNLESS its Christmas time, then the ultimate Christmas theme is in order.

EPCOT has some of the best walls on property. They have become a huge internet trend and we love it. Between people Disneybounding as the walls to ears to their own Instagram page, a cute picture in front of these walls have become as much of a must on a Disney trip as snapping a pic in front of one of the icons. The Bubblegum wall is my personal favorite.

The Guardians Wall that is up at EPCOT right now is pretty epic. I am not sure if it will still be around after the new Guardian's attraction is open but it matched perfectly with our outfits for Festival of the arts. We thought these shirts looked like works of art, with all the different colors. Definitely didn't disappoint.

It's a Jungle out there! and Disney's Animal Kingdom is a mood. I always joke Leopard print is my favorite color... but really it is green so this color palette gives me life. Animal Kingdom is full of lush greens and deep browns. Joe Rode and his Imagineers prefected the art of making new things look old and weathered. Between the animals and the incredible bioluminescent world of Pandora, there is plenty to take inspiration from for the perfect outfit.

Disney's Hollywood Studio has been in a constant identity crisis since 1989. Michael Eisner opened the park under the name of Disney's MGM studios as a real working studio. It's never really had a real icon. Now, we still have that feel of "Hollywood that never was — and always will be" but also, anchoring the park are 2 new lands, Toy Story and Galaxy's Edge. Being a huge Star Wars fan, I don't need much of an excuse to wear a Star Wars Shirt or Dress.

Never be afraid to wear or represent your favorite character or movie at a Disney Park, they literally invented it with the introduction of Mickey Mouse ears in 1955. This trend is not going away.

What are some of your favorite things to wear to the Parks?
